Abstract

The Arabic sentence bears several connotations, which varied between persistence and renewal, specificity and generality, severance and probability, and for the diversity of indications and purposes, poets tended to use different and varied linguistic methods, in order to reach the desired purpose, and Abu Firas al-Hamdani is among the poets who possess poetic language distinguished by his use of methods A different language, which made him take a high position among the poets, so the nominal sentences he used varied, including the fixed nominal sentence with which he may present the news on the beginner in some cases to strengthen the meaning and emphasize it, and also may tend to include one of the types OPY on par Wholesale installed in order to get time indication.

As for the significance of the negation, it was reached by using the negation tools that varied between (not, what, or not), and each of these tools has a connotation that can be distinguished from other tools, then (not) the sentence gives a meaning of the negation case if it is not accompanied by a context indicating To another time, he changed himself with (what) .

Because of the poet’s desire to express various purposes and connotations and emphasize these indications, he tended to use the various methods of affirmation, including the style of the palace and the accompanying negation that helped the poet to limit the description to the adjective, as well as affirmation with (if), and (that).

It is recognized that the nominal sentence bears the significance of persistence in the event, and perhaps this indication made the poet tend to use it in abundance, but with this we find the poet may search for the indication of renewal and occurrence granted by the verb, so we see it tends to use the actual sentences in the news of some of the nominal sentences, so they converge He has the significance of steadfastness with the sign of renewal and occurrence in the same sentence, as if the event has a constant in its renewal and continuity.
