THE PLAYWRIGHTE SHAKER MUSTAFA SALIM The play ( Deadly Recklessness) inference
Abstract
The research deals with the study of the theatrical achievement of the anthropologist Shaker Mustafa Selim, as a playwright, who is considered one of the owners of the one play, as he wrote the play (Deadly Recklessness) in 1935 while he was a student in the intermediate school until it won the approval of the educational, teaching and cultural circles at that time. The importance of this research lies in the fact that it sheds light on the early stages of writing the Iraqi play, printing it in a book and displaying it at school in the city of Amara. The researcher has not yet found an academic or research study from those concerned with Iraqi theater literature, which dealt with the writer’s literary efforts and the circumstances of writing his play. Therefore, the researcher found it important to stop by studying and analyzing the specificity of its social, dramatic and intellectual structure as a reflection of the reality of Iraqi society and the struggle of its members within the family. Especially since it carried educational, ethical and didactic implications in its speech aimed at reform and guiding the behavior of the individual and providing advice and guidance to the youth
