Abstract

The topic of the research “The Incident of the Grand Mosque in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in     ''  is a historical study, one of the most important topics that deserve study and research, as a result of the developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the seventies, which led to the emergence of opposition, especially religious opposition, due to changes in Saudi society, after the openness On the world, especially after the oil revolution, as well as affection of revolutionary ideas, which were expressed by some political parties and associations that were established during the period of King Khalid bin Abdul Aziz in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that included  some  kind of restrictions on some groups and multiple arrest attacks one of the most important of them is the Al-mohtasbah Salafist Group founded by Juhayman Al-Otaibi, which opposed the existing government  at that time and attacked it because of its deviation from the “Islamic religion.” This group was also influenced by the ideas and revolution of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Kingdom during the
